I was looking forward to this wedding in Lisbon for over a year, so when it finally happened I was quite thrilled to say the least. I wholeheartedly agreed to document Carly’s and Tom’s wedding, I was in love with the vision of their day from the first moment we spoke about it.

It was the most gorgeous and unique celebration, designed thoughtfully with so much taste and artful sensibility. Every detail – from guests attire, florals, tuk-tuks and hired boats – was curated and visually corresponded to the colour palette and embodied the relaxed and effortless Lisbon spirit. 

Bear with me, I can’t not mention Carly’s incredibly stylish look. A beautiful balance of minimalism and lightness with unexpected detailing – artfully sculpted shapes, clean lines, an elegant bow with long ribbons carried by the wind and the handbag – the cubist’s dream. 

It’s the wedding you wish you could have gone to and a celebration, that if you were one of the lucky guests, you’ll wish you could live over and over again. Things just flowed wonderfully and naturally and the day was centred around spending time with the people they love. That is the most beautiful gift for me as a photographer to capture.

I’m so thankful I could have captured this glorious wedding on the Lisbon riverside and spent time with the most lovely, fun and hospitable people like Carly & Tom and their loved ones.
